What free audits does Tend the Tech offer?

Five: a Google Business Profile audit, a Yelp honest take, a tech stack scan (your last 30 days of recurring charges), a website honest read, and an auto-shop-specific digital scan. Each takes us 10–30 minutes; you get a text back within the same workday with the top issues we see. There's no card on file, no follow-up sales sequence, and no obligation to hire us.

Why are these actually free?

Three reasons. One: most owners we end up working with came in through one of these. We're not running a top-of-funnel sales machine — we're running a small practice, and free audits are the cheapest, most honest first conversation. Two: it's the fastest way to prove we're different from the agencies that called you last week. Those agencies will never give you a free honest read. They want you on a call, on their slide deck, on their CRM follow-up sequence. We don't.

Three: sometimes the audit shows you don't have a problem worth paying us to fix. Your GBP is already in good shape. Your tech stack is lean. Your website is fine. We'd rather tell you that than take money for unnecessary work. The free audits filter the conversations we want to have from the ones we don't.

Free audits FAQ

Are these actually free?

+

Yes. No card on file, no auto-upgrade, no "free trial that converts to paid." We do the audit. We text back the findings. That's it. If you want the findings turned into actual fixes, we quote per-thing — and you can say no and we won't follow up.

Why give these away?

+

Three reasons. (1) Most owners we end up working with came in through one of these. (2) It's the fastest way to prove we're different from the agencies that called you last week — those agencies will never give you a free honest read. (3) Sometimes the audit shows you don't actually have a problem worth paying us to fix, and we'd rather tell you that than waste your money.

How long do these audits take you?

+

10–30 minutes each. They're not exhaustive — they're the equivalent of a tradesman walking the job site and pointing at the top three issues. A full audit (the paid kind) takes hours and produces a written deliverable. The free version is the fast honest read.

Will you try to upsell me?

+

No. Each audit ends with the findings, an estimated cost if you wanted us to fix them, and "want us to handle it?" — yes or no. If no, that's the end of the conversation. We don't have a sales team. We don't have a follow-up sequence. We don't drip.

Can I get more than one audit?

+

Yes. Plenty of owners text us for the GBP audit first, then the tech stack scan a week later. Each is independent. You don't have to commit to anything in between.

What if I want a full paid audit instead?

+

Paid audits run $300–$800 depending on scope. They produce a written deliverable with prioritized fixes, traffic-impact estimates, and execution-ready specs. The free audit is the quick text-back read; the paid audit is the document you can act on. See pricing for full bands.
