Privacy policy.
Tend the Tech ("we", "us", or "our") builds software and digital operations tools for local businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe when you use tendthetech.com and our hosted products, including StreetRank.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly and technical data generated when you use our services.
- Account and contact details: Your name, business name, email address, phone number, and billing information when you register or order services.
- Technical data: When you sign in to StreetRank, we store the IP address and browser details of your session. tendthetech.com does not load an analytics script.
- Integration data: When you connect third-party platforms (such as Google services), we receive the data authorized by your permissions to provide the requested features.
2. How we use your information
We use your information solely to provide, operate, and maintain our tools and services:
- Creating and securing your account.
- Processing orders, invoices, and deposits.
- Delivering search rank tracking, local SEO analysis, and automated performance reports.
- Sending essential operational notices, security alerts, and support updates.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Services that process your data for StreetRank:
- Cloudflare: hosts StreetRank and this site, stores StreetRank's data, sends our sign-in and report emails, and runs the bot check on the free scan form.
- DataForSEO: receives the domains, keywords, locations, and page URLs StreetRank looks up for you, and returns search and site data.
- Loops: receives your name, email address, user ID, and billing status, so we keep a contact record for each user.
- Autumn and Stripe: Autumn, our billing service, receives your workspace ID and email address. Payments go through Stripe.
- Dub: only if you signed up through a referral link. Dub receives your user ID and your payment amounts so the referrer gets credit. It does not receive your name or email address.
- OpenRouter and OpenAI: receive what you send through StreetRank's chat, as described in section 3.
3. Google user data (Search Console and Analytics)
You may choose to connect Google services, including Google Search Console and Google Analytics, to our hosted application (StreetRank), or use Google sign-in. When you do, our application accesses Google user data through Google APIs. This section describes our handling of that data under the Google API Services User Data Policy.
What Google data we access:
- Google Sign-In: Your basic profile (name, email address, and profile photo) to authenticate your identity and set up your user account.
- Google Search Console: Verified site search performance data, including queries, clicks, impressions, average positions, and URL inspection data.
- Google Analytics: Property traffic, user acquisition channels, session statistics, and engagement events for the properties you explicitly select.
How we use Google user data:
- We use Google user data strictly to display search visibility dashboards, rank tracking reports, and traffic trends requested by you.
- We do NOT use Google user data to serve advertisements.
- We do NOT use Google user data to develop, train, or improve generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- We do not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties, except to provide the features you use, as listed below, or to comply with applicable laws.
Who else receives your data:
- OpenRouter and OpenAI: StreetRank's in-app chat (SAM and the onboarding chat) runs on an AI model reached through OpenRouter. Today that model is OpenAI's. When you use the chat, your messages go to OpenRouter and on to the model provider, along with the results of the lookups the chat runs for you. Those results include Search Console performance and URL inspection data and Google Analytics reports for the properties you connected. OpenRouter and OpenAI handle that data under their own terms.
- AI tools you connect: If you connect your own AI client to StreetRank's MCP server, that client receives the same kinds of data when it asks for them, under its provider's terms.
- Google: We call Google's APIs with your stored token to fetch the Search Console and Analytics data you connected, so Google sees those requests.
You can disconnect a Google property in StreetRank at any time. That removes the connection from the project. We delete the stored Google token only when the person who connected it disconnects it and no other project of theirs uses the same Google account. Otherwise the token stays stored, encrypted, until that happens or until we delete your data at your request. Disconnecting in StreetRank does not revoke StreetRank's access at Google, and it does not unlink a Google account you use to sign in. To revoke access, remove StreetRank in your Google Account security settings.
4. Data storage and security
StreetRank runs on Cloudflare. Data sent between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Google access and refresh tokens are encrypted in our database. Sign-in session tokens are stored unencrypted.
5. Data retention and deletion
StreetRank does not delete your account data on a schedule. Deletion happens by request, and we do it by hand. There is no delete button in the app today. To ask, email [email protected] from the address on your account.
6. Children's privacy
Our services are built exclusively for business owners and operators aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect or solicit information from anyone under the age of 13.
7. Updates to this policy
If we update our privacy practices, we will publish the new policy here with an updated effective date. Continued use of our site or services after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
8. Contact us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, email us at [email protected].
